Neathery diagnosed with leukemia
Scott Neathery, a 1991 initiate and the new head football coach for Sheridan High School, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia September 1, 2006. Neathery, the former offensive coach for the Benton Panthers, is in Houston, Texas received treatment for the rest of the month.
Donations to the Scott Neathery Fund may be made at Summit Bank in Benton, AR. In addition, several fund-raisers and blood drives have been set up by friends of the Neathery family and Sheridan students. All proceeds will go to the Neathery family -- Scott, Karla, and their two young children -- Morgan and Ty.

Scott Neathery's leukemia went into remission Nov. 1, 2007.
He is now at home with his family in Benton, AR.
